The Long Shadow inspiring community action!
Our hearts are bursting with pride and joy!
Producer Sally Holst and I and team members, Nick Kelso and Christina Wieboldt participated in a breathtakingly beautiful Zoom call on May 1st celebrating the 1-year anniversary of the Together Is Better Alliance or TIBA!
TIBA is a 501-C3 that was founded in Illinois by Sharon Hatchett and Amania Drane after they watched The Long Shadow.
These ladies and TIBA members are walking their talk! They are promoting racial reconciliation and recovery by holding screenings of our film and others like it while also facilitating continuing conversations that are helping to bridge the gap between black and white.
One white gentleman on the Zoom identified himself as a "reformed racist". SEEING this amazing and diverse group--almost 40 in total on this Zoom alone- really drove home the possibilities for our country!

Stay safe and take care!
