Extending the free streaming window for one more week!
It's been a very difficult week for the African-American community and we - your white allies - stand shoulder to shoulder with YOU.
While we can never truly "feel" your pain we CAN lift you up with peaceful (social distancing) protest! In the pre-recorded Zoom Q&A on our website please feel and see the possibilities for a truly colorblind society, not one shoving African-American pain under the carpet.
We are Black and White people gathered together for one reason - to make the change.
This week has seen our film dramatically rise in popularity, principally because in one hour viewers get the complete story as to why we are here - in this moment - at this exact time. Â KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!
We are asking a favor.
We are asking you to please push our film out in your social media networks. If you can hold a watch party, I will be more than happy to answer questions afterward via our 500-seat Zoom room.
We are extending the free availability of the film for one more week to maximize your opportunity to do this.Â
Please share this link with all whom you think could benefit.
The film is also available 24/7/365 days a year at Amazon Prime, Tubitv, and with a library card at Kanopy.Â
Hoping we have reached a tipping point in our cause to make America aware of the tragic impact of slavery and Jim Crow and its impact upon the present but we must keep going.Â
With love for all,
Frances
Director, The Long Shadow
PS: Thanks to Sharon Hatchett and Amania Drane of The Together is Better Alliance, to their incredible partner organizations, and to Professor Terence Oliver of the School of Media and Journalism at UNC-Chapel Hill for sharing the film with his students and inviting Director Frances Causey to speak.Â
