“…. and an Extremely Necessary One. Recommended." - The Sound View
We work for years on our films. Once they launch, it’s like sending a child out into the wider world! When a film is well received, we know we've hit the mark. In the indie world, good reviews help raise the film's profile, and that brings us great joy knowing someone will see our film and be forever helped by our efforts.
We are excited to share our first review of Final Fight from The Sound View, which can be found in full here!
“This is not the first PTSD related documentary that The Sound View has reviewed, but it might be the best. Causey does a fantastic job balancing sympathy, empathy, and a call to action without diminishing the strength and humanity of the documentary’s subjects. The film is clearly built for two different audiences, and it works effectively to speak to both: military veterans who watch will feel seen and recognized, and everyone else will finally begin to understand what the military people in our lives, and our communities, go through when they experience trauma in their service, from the trauma itself to the struggles of reintegrating into society without much help healing from it. It is an incredibly powerful documentary, and an extremely necessary one, given the prevalence of PTSD in veterans today, as well as the prevalence of sexual violence in the armed forces.”
Final Fight’s DVD with bonus features can be preordered here on Amazon! The film will be released on April 9, 2024 by MVD Entertainment. Our sincerest thanks to sales agent, Dan Gurlitz, of Soundview Media Partners for helping to make our dreams come true.
In addition, please welcome our new social media content manager, Jesslyn O’Neill, to the Frances Causey Films team!
